CLICKER TRAINING OPEN HOUSE AND PLAY DAY
Do you wish you could communicate better with your horse?
Clicker training is a training method that uses a marker signal to indicate to the horse when it has offered the correct behavior. The horse is rewarded for his response and soon becomes an eager student at whatever you want to teach him.
I am a local clicker trainer who is hosting an afternoon of clicker fun for anyone interested in learning more about clicker training for horses, or who is already clicker training and would like to meet other clicker trainers. I will have some demonstrations with my horses on basic to advanced clicker training and exercises from Alexandra Kurland, author of “Clicker Training for your Horse.”
Come and learn about clicker training on Saturday June 25 from 1- 5 at my farm in Elverson, Pa.
Elverson is about halfway between Philadelphia and Harrisburg in Chester County. We are close to route 23. We are also between the Downingtown and Morgantown Turnpike exits.
From route 23, take Trythall Rd. (look for the big green Warwick Woods Campground sign) north for 1.3 miles.
If you are travelling on route 23 west toward Morgantown, you will go about 5 miles past route 100 and then look for Trythall Rd. on your right. If you are travelling on route 23 east toward Bucktown and Phoenixville, then look for Trythall Rd. on your left about 3 miles after the intersection of routes 23 and 345.
Take Trythall Rd. until the road ends at a T. At the T, go left on to Harmonyville Rd. Go 0.25 miles to the first right which is Piersol Rd. We are the first farm on the right (0.3 miles down the road). You will see a stone farmhouse and split rail fencing. I will put a sign at the end of the driveway and also at the entrance to Piersol Rd. If you get lost, you can call 610-469-0129 and we'll help you get here.
